On February 12, 2014, I spoke at the Cato Institute in Washington DC, a well-known conservative “think tank,” about the topics in my new book, Gold: the Monetary Polaris. Steve Forbes gave a wonderful and generous introduction. My section is about 35 minutes long, and I think it offers a good introduction to these topics for those who are new to it. I also wanted it to serve as an example of how you can talk about these things without making it too confusing or opaque. The result came out very well, I think.
