Japan 2017: Printing Money Without Consequences

Today, I’m updating our story regarding the evolution of things in Japan. This is a story I’ve followed for a long time. My overall impression is that things have reached a kind of stalemate or stagnation, in part because the Bank of Japan’s money-creation efforts have, in a sense, made fiscal policy somewhat irrelevant. So, it is all coming down to the money, which is the main focus for this update.
