Among the better expressions of gold standard principles in our time, is Gold and Liberty, a short book by Richard Salsman available at the American Instititue of Economic Research. I think it dates from around 1994. Salsman has a Wall Street background — he was working at H.C. Wainwright at the time — and this training comes through nicely.
